jakarta, for the sake of keeping the mood or restore a deteriorating mood, some people tend to make use of food as a means of primary. but a new study from new zealand it might be eye-opening to many people because the study found that what you eat today will determine your psychological condition the next day.researchers acknowledge the findings of several other studies which reveal that eating junk food like candy or make a potato can cause you to feel depressed, bad mood or unhappy. but a team of researchers from the university of otago is also doubtful whether the change menu and switch to fruits or vegetables may give the opposite effect.to find out the truth, the researchers also asked participants to make 280 adult diaries about the food they consume here how their feelings after three weeks later.from the journal noted that the average participant consumes 1.7 cups of fruits and vegetables each day. but on those days where participants consuming vegetables and fruit with servings of above average, they report an increase in positive feelings (such as quiet, satisfied, cheerful and energetic to 3 percent for each extra servings."even the positive feelings are likely to persist until the next day," researcher demolished tamlin conner, ph.d., professor of health psychology of the otago sepertik quoted from menshealthmonday (11/2/2013).researchers suspect the existence of a number of vitamins and antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables, including folate and a flavonol proved can improve mood."these foods also contain complex carbohydrates that can increase the concentration of serotonin in the brain," adds conner. serotonin is a neurotransmitter that compound itself has long been associated with the feeling that shows welfare and happiness.if these studies are not convincing enough for you, another study conducted by researchers from dartmouth and the uk against 80,000 united kingdom also revealed that eating 7-8 cups of fruits and vegetables every day can offset the negative feelings that appear as a result of not having a job or are unemployed.this is because participants who ate more than 5 cups of fruits and vegetables each day reported 27 percent happier and more satisfied with life than participants who ate less than one cup a day. "try consuming at least 5 cups of fruits and vegetables per day and avoid chips and corn-based snacks," conner's suggestion.(vit/vit )
